The capital of Istria lies close to the festival site, so there’s no reason not to go and check it out! Our daytrip takes you to the coolest aquarium we’ve ever seen, remarkably housed in an 18th Century fortress. Wander round the old stone corridors and check out the flora and fauna of the underwater world. We’ll then whisk you off to visit the capital’s famous amphitheatre, which is more intact than Rome’s and our guide will lead you around this impressive structure where you will learn about its history and lore. There will also be plenty of free time later to sightsee, shop, eat and drink before coming back to Puntižela.

Itinerary
The festival site’s closest city, also the capital of Istria, is Pula, it lies a mere 20mins away from Puntižela. We set off in the morning and drive to Pula aquarium on the far side of the city, there you will experience the underwater world without setting foot in the water. Set in an 18th century fortress this fascinating space is a cool and calming oasis for you to start your day and really get away from the madness of the outside world!
After seeing the aquarium and catching some rays of the rooftop terrace there we take the short trip to Pula’s roman amphitheatre, the best peserved in the world. Towering over the edge of the city, it’s an archaeological wonder built over 2000 years ago, it has housed a variety of activities through the years and now is home to live concerts . You’ll get a tour with our expert guide to explore this impressive structure.
After yout visit to the arena you will have a few hours free time to spend as you wish. You can do a walking tour to explore all the other monuments in the city, have a cool drink on a bustling street to do some people watching, enjoy a good meal in one of the many restaurants or simply browse the shops whilst absorbing the vibe and the atmosphere. We’ll meet you back at the arena car park at 8pm to take you back to the campsite.
